Located in the heart of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, 8 km from Chambord, the Historical village gives you access to the region’s numerous outdoor and cultural activities. Lac Saint-Jean, with its beaches, cruises and water activities, is just few steps away. The famous Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien, where you can observe free roaming wild animals from the safety of a protected observation vehicle, is a half-hour away.

Discover the Montagnais community of Mashteuiatsh(Pointe-Bleue), while visiting the museum and gift shops, or recharge your batteries at the Ermitage Saint-Antoine in Lac-Bouchette. Not to mention that Val-Jalbert is connected to the Véloroute des Bleuets trail, the pride of the region. Caverne Trou de la Fée, Desbiens

The cavern park offers a typical environment of the most beautiful landscapes in Quebec. Discover the canyon! Take advantage of trails, water main walkway and footbridges attached to rock capes. Jardin Scullion

Known artist and landscaper, Brian Scullion has acquired this abandoned land in 1985. He achieved a childhood dream by creating, on a farm of 40 hectares, a paradise on earth. This passion is obvious as soon as you set foot in the gardens. The unusual landscaping, features over 2,000 plant species from around the world, well adapted to climatic conditions in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

Black Bear Observation

An authentic wilderness experience in Québec's boreal forest.
• A professional guide accompanies you and takes care of you during the observation of the animals.
• An adventure just for you, only small groups at a time to ensure a quality experience (max 8 participants per night).
• Black bear sighting is practiced in a safe environment at the top of an observatory on the edge of a small lake.
• Transport by 4x4 truck to the observation site is included (about 15 minutes in the forest from Roberval).
• The expedition lasts 2 to 3 hours before dark depending on the weather of the season
